What is Kendo?
Kendo, the “Way of the Sword,” is a modern Japanese martial art that traces its origins back to the ancient samurai warriors. Embodying the values of respect, honor, and perseverance, Kendo places equal emphasis on physical technique and mental focus. By wielding a bamboo sword (shinai) and wearing traditional armor (bogu), practitioners engage in thrilling, controlled sparring matches that simulate the intensity of real sword combat.
